Value Tracking

Whilst the risk free value of the $HONI token will be dictated by treasury performance, investors can track speculative value by evaluating our “Protocol Index”. This index compares the market price of a $HONI token against its backing value.

Undervalued

When the index is below 1.0, the token is undervalued and indicates a “Buy signal”, this signals to investors that they would gain a greater share of the treasury than their investment by buying. An index of 0.9 would mean every $0.9 spent on the token would earn profits corresponding to $1 of the treasury.

Overvalued

When the index is above 1, the token is overvalued. In this case the protocol will arbitrage via ‘smart rebasing’ to sell staked $HONI for USD and re-bond; allowing the protocol to realize speculative value and distribute it equally to stakeholders.
